Alvie Mae Cook

Mrs. Alvie M. Cook, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at her residence. Freeman Hood Funeral Services has been entrusted with her care.

Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by her father Andrew Cody Rutledge; mother Alma Mary Rutledge; husband James Daniel Cook; son Robert Daniel Cook; sisters Johnnie Files, Eunice Rutledge, Ruth Sawyer, Elizabeth Hinds, Mable Kilgo, Francis Dolly Long, and Hazel Hendon; and brothers A.C. Rutledge, Howard Rutledge, and Ellis Rutledge.

She is survived by her sister Shelby Jean Heathcock; daughters Alice Cook Scates (James), Pam Cook Rothenberger (Tony), and Cheryl Cook (Robert Cook, deceased); grandchildren Raymond Rodriguez, Diana Van Nocker, Matthew Middleton, Simeon Cook, Shea Rothenberger, Shanna Reid, Joshua Cook, Jacob Cook, Jennifer Cook, James Scates, Jr., and Deanna Scates; great grandchildren Clayton Pare (Morgan), Chelsea Pare, Madeline Middleton, Alyssa Scates (Trevor), Zachary Snyder, Brayden Donahue, Trey Scates, Makalaigh Scates, Madison Ramirez (Jose), Baylee Kimbrell, Myleigh Reid, Carleigh Reid, and Samuel Reid; and several great-great grandchildren.

Pall Bearers will be Michael Van Nocker, Clayton Pare, Matthew Middleton, Simeon Cook, Zachary Snyder, Tony Rothenberger and/or Raymond Rodriguez.

Services: Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM for family viewing and 12:00 viewing for friends located in the Sam Hood Memorial Chapel, with funeral services following at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Carbon Hill Memorial Cemetery. EJ Lowery will Officiate.
