Ms.  Eva Darlene Thompson, 76, of Jasper, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Shadescrest Health Care Center. Freeman Hood Funeral Services has been entrusted with her care.

Ms. Thompson is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Thompson; daughter Kimberly Thompson Sargent; father William J. Richardson; mother DeLois Richardson; and brothers Billy Richardson, Eddie Richardson, and James Richardson.

She is survived by her son-in-law Glenn Sargent (Kristi); son Jeff Thompson (Stacia); grandchildren Brody Sargent (Hannah), Dawson Sargent, Kayla Sargent Morrow (Tyler), Blake Sargent, Heather Thompson, Rachel Thomspon, and Cameron Thompson; great-grandchildren Railynn Sargent and Lily Sargent.

Services: Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Sam Hood Memorial Chapel, with funeral services following at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be at Odom Memorial Cemetery.  J.D. Dickerson will officiate.
