Concetta Jo Maddox

Ms. Concetta Jo Maddox, 61, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday July 22, 2025, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Freeman Hood Funeral Services has been entrusted with her care.

Ms. Maddox is preceded in death by her father James Short: step-father Dale Speegle; grandparents Jack & Virginia Short, Carlin Key and Maudie Speer.

She is survived by her mother Judy Key Speegle; daughter Maightlyn Maddox Strickland (Maghan); sisters Tammy Short Gamble (Joe) and Tracie Short Birdyshaw (Shane); and grandmother Irene Robbins.

Services: Visitation was be held Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Sam Hood Memorial Chapel at Freeman Hood Funeral Services, with funeral services following at 12:00 PM. Burial was at Scott Cemetery. Jeff Allred and Don Graham will officiate.
