Gladys Vernelle Williams, 92, of Jasper, passed away Friday August 19, 2022, at her residence.

Family will receive friends on August 23, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hunters Chapel Holy Church of Christ.  Funeral  service will be held Wednesday August 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at the church.  Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Darrin Reynolds will officiate.

Mrs. Williams  is preceded in death by husbands Kenneth Williams and John J. Ferguson; sons Jerry W. Ferguson and Roger L. Ferguson; grandson Chad Ferguson; great grandson James Colby Morris; parents Leonard & Florence Gunter; sisters Ruth Key, Lillie McLain, and Mary Martin; brothers Roy Gunter and Carl Gunter.

She is survived by her daughter Debra Freeman; sister Barbara Graves (Don); brothers Bill Gunter (Shirley), Paul Gunter (Mary Jo); daughter-in- law Connie Ferguson; 8 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and she loved her Lord and Savior.

The family wants to thank Enhabit Hospice for the love and care they showed Mrs. Gladys.
