Mr. Jimmy Ray Roden, aged 80, of Bremen, left this world on Sunday, December 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. His care was entrusted to Freeman Hood Funeral Services, which will honor his memory as warmly as he lived.
Jimmy's spirit thrived in the beauty of nature; he was a passionate hunter and fisherman who embraced every moment of life. Above all, his greatest treasure was the love he shared with family and friends. With an ever-welcoming heart, he opened his door and his table to everyone, making all feel like part of his family.
He is now reunited in peace with his beloved wife Patricia “Pat” Roden, along with his parents, Archie and Edna Roden, and siblings Fred, Billy, Macky, and Eddie Roden, along with his sisters Judy Roden, Irene Lancaster, and Lowrene Fowler.
Jimmy's legacy continues through his cherished children: Tabby Butler (David), Charlotte Lee (Johnny), Tammy Stacks, Dora Rhodes (Mark), Jimmy Roden Jr. (Stephanie), Diane Roden Tubbs (Troy), and Joshua Darrell Baxter (Makayla), along with son-in-law Darrell Baxter (Shelia). He also leaves behind an aunt, Xann Rollo, a sister, Bobby Vines, as well as an impressive family of 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who will carry forward his love and values. A heartfelt thank you is extended to Tasha Penick for her support during this time.
The pall bearers honoring Jimmy will be Adyen Blayze Baxter, Brady Baxter, Johnny Smith, Joshua Baxter, Byron Vines, David Butler, Zachary Baxter, and Randall Isbell, with Wayne Rollo serving as honorary pall bearer.
A visitation to celebrate Jimmy's life will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at McKinley Chapel, with Dale Banks officiating the service.
As we gather to remember Mr. Jimmy Ray Roden, we celebrate a man whose love and generosity knew no bounds, whose warmth touched all who were fortunate to know him, and whose spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
