Kenneth Paul Ryland

Kenneth Paul Ryland, Jr., 65, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, at UAB Palliative Care. 
 

Mr. Ryland was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Betty Ryland;  grandparents Jesse and Lorene Ryland and Dennis and Charlotte Glaze; brother Jeffery Thomas Ryland; and nephew Matthew Thomas Ryland.
 
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Christy Ryland of Tuscaloosa; daughters Kandy Ryland Wesson of Tuscaloosa and Jamie Ryland Sims (Jason) of Tuscaloosa; son Christopher Paul Ryland (Reese) of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren Connor Wesson, Steven Ryland, Brady Wesson, Carson Ryland, and Kelsey Cotton (Dontavious); great-grandchildren Ameliah Cotton and Noah Howell; and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, great aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
 

Pallbearers will be Christopher Ryland, Jason Sims, Steven Ryland, James Wesson, Scott Downs, and Carson Ryland.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brady Wesson, Scott Whitfield, Dr. Ross Vaughn, NorthStar Paramedics, DCH Emergency Trauma team, Dr. Craig Powell and team, Adam and Robbie from UAB NICU, and Dr. Hand, Bridget, and Keri from UAB Palliative Care Unit.
 

Services: Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the Sam Hood Memorial Chapel, with funeral services following at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be at Boldo Memory Gardens.  Craig Strickland will officiate.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to St Jude.
