Ms. Laura Elizabeth Cooksey, 65, of Oakman, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at UAB Medical Center. Freeman Hood Funeral Services has been entrusted with her care.

Mrs. Cooksey is preceded in death by her father Don Sylvester; sister Donna Tucker; daughter Leslie Cooksey;  and father of her children Larry Cooksey.

She is survived by her mother Glenna Price; daughters Carrie Cooksey and Kim Bryant; son Craig Cooksey & wife Brandy; brother Richard Sylvester; and grandchildren Alexis Bryant, Isabella Bryant, Levi Cooksey, and Jack Cooksey.

Services: There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
