Mr. Preston Wayne O’Rear, 72, of Arley, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Shadescrest Health Care Center. Freeman Hood Funeral Services has been entrusted with his care.

Mr. O’Rear is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn O’Rear; and wife Mariea O’Rear.

He is survived by his daughter Terra Pugh; sisters Nina Soileau, Christy Garcia, and Renae Johnson; brother Jeff Downs; 14 grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Services: Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Sam Hood Memorial Chapel at Freeman Hood Funeral Services, with funeral services following at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery.
