Richard Perrin Black, 63, of Cordova, AL, gained his wings on March 26, 2023.  After a 9 year battle with a brain tumor, he is finally at rest.

The sun rose and welcomed Richard on February 12, 1960, a day the world became a little bit brighter.  Richard was a hardworking man and enjoyed fishing with his son.  he was a devoted son, father, and grandfather.  Richard would do anything for his family and friends; and he loved fiercely.

Richard is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Ray Black; and mother Nelda Estill Black.

Richard is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jake & Tabitha Black; sister and brother-in-law Anna & Mark Palmer; granddaughter Kaylee Dill; niece Anna Lee Palmer; and numerous friends.

A memorial service will be held at Dovertown Church of Christ on Saturday April 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM
