Mr. William Harold Avant, 76, of Jasper, passed away on Saturday May 13, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Avant is preceded in death by his father William Arthur Avant; mother Sarah Beatrice Burton; brother Brian Dewey Burton; nephew Steven Brad Avant.

He is survived his wife Genita Ann Avant; daughter Christie Hudson; brother Floyd Dwight Avant; granddaughters Madeline “Maddie" Jeanne Hudson and Anna Claire Hudson; son-in-law J. Brent Hudson; and sister-in-law Vickey Avant.

Services: A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Williams Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Tommy Graves will officiate.
