Dennis Freeman
Licensed Funeral Director / Owner
Dennis is a licensed funeral director with 40 plus years’ experience. He has been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 35 years. He is a member of the York 211 F. & A.M. Lodge and Lamon Chapel 723 F.& A.M. Lodge. He has also been a member of the Lamon Chapel Order of Eastern Star Chapter 334 for 11 years, and has served in many capacities for both organizations. He is a history buff and enjoys genealogy research and cemetery surveying, but mostly enjoys spending time with family and friends. He has one daughter and has lived in the Walker County area his whole life.
Andrea Hood
Office Manage/Family Consultant/Apprentice Funeral Director
Andrea is our jack of all trades. She actually holds a degree in surgical technology, but has worked in many areas of the medical field (human and animal) over the years. She serves as our office manager and family consultant, and says her favorite part of her job is our aftercare program.
She is married to our very own Sam Hood and they share 4 children and 7 grandchildren. She attends Desperation Church and enjoys trips to the beach and spending time with family and friends and her favorite place to visit is Savannah, Georgia. She was born and raised in Jasper, Alabama but spent several years living in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
